Zellowene Pearson

Mrs. Zellowene Eaves Pearson, 84, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Highland Home Nursing Home in Ridgeland, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 31st, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Carr and Rev. Kyle Ivy officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Whitehall Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.     Mrs. Pearson was born July 26, 1929, in Winston County. She was a retired Insurance Agency Owner, and a member of Whitehall Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marzell Pearson; her parents, Belle Livingston Eaves and John W. Eaves; her biological mother, Wilma Stokes; her son, Danny Darrell Pearson; one daughter, Angela Pearson Gregory; one sister, Dot Progeda; and two brothers, Leon Smith and Junior Eaves.   She is survived by her daughters, Wanda (Mark) Peagler of Flowood, MS, and Brenda (Shell) Leach of Brandon, MS; her son-in-law, Doug Gregory of Louisville; one sister, Gertie Dean White of Louisville; one brother, Carvel “Buddy” Eaves of Louisville; grandchildren, Dana Poss, Jay Pearson, Ashleigh (Jason) Goodwin, Michael Gregory, Taylor Peagler, and Morgan Peagler; and great grandchildren, Anna Chamblee Goodwin, Leighton Grace Goodwin, Sawyer Peagler, and Brantley Peagler.   Pallbearers will be Taylor Peagler, Michael Gregory, Jay Pearson, Ronald Eaves, Greg Leach, Roy Tapp, Taylor Moody, and Gary Cline.   The family wishes to thank Janice Lewis and Brenda Thomas for their faithful and loving caregiving.   Memorials may be made to SON Valley Home, PO Box 406, Canton, MS 39046.
