Mrs. Jewell Fay Parks McCool, 84, of Louisville, MS, passed away on October 23, 2014, at Belhaven Nursing Home in Jackson, MS. She was a resident of Winston Medical Center Nursing Home until the tornado in April of this year forced her to move to Jackson. Fay was born in Louisville on September 15, 1930 to L.D. and Claudie Parks. Fay was a graduate of Louisville High School. She was married to Kenneth McCool. Fay worked at Sears and BancorpSouth, where she held the position of head teller until she retired. Fay loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends from work and church. Fay was an active member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and enjoyed singing in the choir until her health forced her into assisted living, and then to the Winston Medical Center Nursing Home. Fay is survived by a daughter, Cindy Frazier and husband Keith of Melbourne, FL; sons Ken McCool and wife Monita of Columbus, MS, and Kevin McCool and wife Alisha of Louisville, MS; and one sister, Betty Livingston of Plymouth, MN. She was also a proud grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Evergreen Baptist Church on Sunday, the 26th of October at 2:00 P.M, with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.
