Vivian Whiteside

Mrs. Vivian Whiteside, 96, died Thursday, November 06, 2014, at The Beehive Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 8th, at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mike Childs and Rev. Dale Hathorn officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Whiteside was born August 22, 1918, in Hickory Flat, MS. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Louisville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rethie Taylor and Dewitt Whiteside; a grandson, Robert Shannon Whiteside; and two sisters, Earline Moorhead and Marjorie Simmons. She is survived by her husband of 77 years, Rev. Smith Whiteside; four children, Rev. Bob (Sallie) Whiteside of Starkville, MS, Sylvia (E. L.) Vowell of Louisville, MS, Hugh (Anita) Whiteside of Louisville, MS, and Diane (Larry) Kelly of Itta Bena, MS; a sister, Clyde Hathorn of Tupelo, MS; a brother, Jimmy Whiteside of Alpharetta, GA; 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
