Mr. Jimmy Dale Edwards, 75, died Monday, August 15, 2016, at Laird Hospital in Union, MS. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 18th, at Rural Hill United Methodist Church, with Rev. Tony Fortenberry officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rural Hill Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Edwards was born May 15, 1941, in Mississippi. He was a logger, and worked at Georgia Pacific for 27 years. Jimmy Dale was also a member of Rural Hill United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Edwards; his brother, Bill Edwards; and his parents, Nettie Bell Pearson Edwards and Johnny Elton Edwards. He is survived by two daughters, Darlene (Johnny) Crocker of Louisville, and Angela (Tom) Boswell of Meridian; three sons, Kenny (Debbie)Edwards of Philadelphia, Randy (Angie) Edwards of Louisville, and David Edwards of Louisville; five sisters, Bonnie Pooley, Betty Farmer, Brenda Edwards, Beverly Pinney, and Bobbie Hisaw; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
