Mrs. Brenda Faye Jones, 70, died Thursday, October 6, 2016, in Philadelphia, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 12th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Dowd officiating. Interment will be in Indian Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Jones was born July 16, 1946 in Louisville, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berlin Jones; and her parents, Leslie Steed Burroughs and Walter Burroughs. She is survived by her son, James B. (Pamela) Jones of Noxapater, MS; a sister, Juanita Trumbo of Ocean Springs, MS; two brothers, Troy Burroughs of Louisville, MS, and Garland Burroughs of Texas; 7 grandchildren, Nathan Darnell, Cassie Dunaway, Kimberly Stone, Amber Hill, Ashley Hill, William Jones, and Madeline Alexander; and two great grandchildren, Jackson Stone and Vincent Darnell.
