Martha Nell Eldridge

Mrs. Martha Nell Eldridge, 87, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 1st, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Rook and Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Enon Baptist Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Eldridge was born July 25, 1929, in Louisville, MS. She was the store manager for many years at Goodin’s Grocery, and was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Ray Eldridge; and her parents, Maggie Mae Cooper Fulton and Walter Jefferson Fulton. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Pendergast of Columbus, MS, and Nancy (Paul Randle) Eaves of Louisville, MS; her brother, Walter C. (Wilma) Fulton of Louisville, MS; five grandchildren, Richard (Gale) Eaves, Derek Eaves, Rochelle (Ray) Holloway, Brandi (Tony) Provias, and Robin (Danny) Holt; 14 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
