William Porter Hull

Mr. William Porter Hull, Sr., 87, passed away Monday, March 29th, 2010, at Winston Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 31st, 2010, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Bowie and Dr. Brett Golson officiating. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hull was born November 6, 1922, in Longview, MS. He moved to Louisville with his family as a young boy. He was a Sergeant in the 28th Infantry of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, World War II. After the war, he worked as an electrician for D. L. Fair Lumber co. until is closing. He also worked as an electrician for Triplett Electric Co., and he worked for 26 years as a maintenance Supervisor for Spartus Corp. Mr. Hull was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Oscar Van Hull, Jr., and his brother, Robert V. Hull. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mozell Hull of Louisville; a daughter, Debbie Miller of Jackson, MS; a son, W. Porter (Susan) Hull, Jr. of Fairview, TX; one brother, O. V. (Joyce) Hull, III of Louisville; five grandchildren, Tiffany Moore (Guy), Leslie Baldwin (David), Bruce Miller (Cindy), Lance Miller, (fiancée Star Loar, Rebecca Mullican (Bryce); and five great grandchildren, Carson, Emerson, and Cooper Moore; Stone and Cash Baldwin; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bruce Miller, Lance Miller, Bryce Mullican, Darryl Eubanks, Mike Eubanks, and Ronnie Eubanks. Mr. Hull was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Louisville, MS. Memorials may be made to his church at P. O. Box 547, Louisville, MS, 39339.
