Wilma E. Sanders

Mrs. Wilma Clark Sanders, 99, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 14th, at Evergreen Baptist Church, with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Sanders was born April 25, 1911, in Louisville, MS, the daughter of Sallie Bennett and Johnnie C. Clark. She was a graduate of Noxapater High School and attended nursing school at the University of Virginia. She was a homemaker, and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olyn Sanders, and a daughter, Betty Joyce Sanders. She is survived by two daughters, Joan Agent of Louisville, MS, and Jean King of Madison, MS; a sister, Ethel Atkinson of Louisville, MS; a brother, Ernest L. Clark of Denver, CO; four grandchildren, Suzanne Agent, Rebecca Phelps, Stephen King, and Nowell Agent; and seven great grandchildren, Ian & Noelle Scroubelos, and Abby, Heidi, Bennett, Maylee, and Sam David Phelps. Memorials may be made to Evergreen Baptist Church, 230 Evergreen Rd, Louisville, MS, 39339, or Hope Hollow Ministries, P. O. Box 2247, Madison, MS, 39130.
