Our sweet, precious daughter Alexis Grace Taylor was welcomed home to heaven on February 4, 2026. She has joined the heavenly choir singing, dancing, and praising her Heavenly Father. Hers was a life which glorified God…a testimony of His faithfulness.
As family and friends, we celebrate her journey. She traveled through the seasons of life facing many detours along the way. But every step of her journey was gloriously choreographed by our Heavenly Father.
Born on August 3, 1989, she was the first child of Lex and Margaret Taylor. She was joined by a sister Bailey Taylor and a brother Alex Taylor. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Al and Doris Dodd of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Bill and Mitzie Taylor of Louisville, Mississippi. She is survived by her two siblings. Her life continues to be celebrated by her aunts and uncles: Wes and Elaine Dodd; Jim and Teresa Ktsanes; and Robert and Amanda Taylor. Left to treasure her memory are her cousins: Wesley (Anna) Dodd; Davis (Rachel) Taylor; Zach Taylor: Grayson Taylor (Darian Rivers); Matthew Ktsanes (fiancé Hannah Bryant). Cherishing her memory is her loving caregiver, Betty Haynes.
Alexis’s service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, February 9, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church, Louisville. Reverend Scott Phillips, Reverend Heath Cross, and Reverend Tony Linley will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 pm until time of the service. She will be interred at Louisville Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.
Pallbearers are Wesley Dodd, Davis Taylor, Zach Taylor, Grayson Taylor, Matthew Ktsanes, Markeis Jackson, and Zach Boyles. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Michael Ard, Buddy Butts, Pat Autry, Jeff Gordy, Lamar Pruitt, Wayne Pruitt, and Jimmy Triplett.
Alexis’ family wishes to thank Dr. Jessie Lavender of University of Mississippi Medical Center along with the ER staff and the MICU unit. An additional thank you to Dr. Michael Ard, a treasured friend.
