Billy Morris Edwards

Mr Billy Morris Edwards, 88, passed away Thursday July 30, 2026 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday August 3, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev Mark Mayo officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Whitehead Cemetery, Louisville MS immediately following the service. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr Edwards was born February 9, 1938 in Winston County to John Sam and Azzielene Sullivan Edwards. Billy was one of twelve children born to his parents and was the last remaining of his siblings. He served in the Army National Guard and retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a proud veteran and will be buried with military honors. Billy was a welder and worked until his retirement at Taylor Machine Works.

Billy married Lucille Breedlove and they were parents to Monica Lynn Partridge and Stacy Morris Edwards. Billy was preceeded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille and son-in-law Billy Albert Partridge. He is survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Ricky Miller, Phillip Partridge, Michael Ming, Roy Taylor, Jacob Prisock, Troy Taylor, and Basil Bostik. Honorary Pallbearers are Junior Cockrell Shea Wright, and the members of Beaver Mountain Hunting Club.
