Carl Christopher Robertson

Mr. Carl Christopher “Chris” Robertson, 61, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Friday, May 3^rd, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Courtney and Rev. Glynn Barker officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.   Interment will be in Murphy Creek Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

Chris was born in Winston County, MS, to Horace and Betty Robertson, on August 20, 1962.  He attended Louisville High School, and then served in the U. S. Army.  After military service, he enjoyed a long career as a long-haul truck driver. Chris was an avid Auburn Tigers football fan and a Richard Petty Race Car driver fan. He was preceded in death by his parents.   

He is survived by his adopted son, Hunter Robertson and step-daughter, Ashley (Wes) Ware and Chris (Jessica) Hamm, five grandchildren; his sisters, Frances R. Jones and Beverly Barker; his brothers Danny (Michelle) Robertson, Mike Robertson and Don Robertson, and several nieces and nephews.  He also leaves three genuine, very close friends from Selma, AL, Ken Smith, Donald Scurlock, and Rev. Gary Courtney.    

Pallbearers will be Wesley Ware, Kade Ware, Hunter Robertson, Heath Robertson, Paighton Edwards, and Brittan Barker.
