Daniel Brian Hankins

Mr. Daniel Brian Hankins passed from this life on June 10, 2018 at Osborn Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ at the age of fifty-five. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 17th at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Bryan Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until service time. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Daniel was born May 29, 1963 in the Baptist Hospital in New Orleans. He is survived by his father of 89 years, Wimbly J Hankins of Brandon, MS. He is also survived by two nieces, Erica Brooks and Kristin Vegh of North Scituate, RI, a great nephew, Keegan Brooks; an aunt, Mrs. Charlene Price, an uncle, J Kendall Hankins, and many cousins. His mother, Mrs. Mary C Hankins, passed away in February 2016. His sister Deborah passed away in April 2012. Daniel graduated from High School in Walpole, Massachusetts. He graduated from college at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. His major was Computer Science. Daniel became a born again Christian at the age of seven while living in Sweden.  After graduating from college he worked as a computer programmer for several companies. While doing so he lived in New York State, Raleigh, North Carolina, Lake Worth, Florida, Jackson, MS, Phoenix, AZ and finally, Scottsdale, AZ. Pallbearers will be Joel Price, Kevin Price, Bob Persons, Brad Addkison, Frank Yekaitus, and Larry Pearson Memorials may be made to Mercy House Teen Challenge, Georgetown, MS, www.mercyhouseteenchallenge.org.
