George Stanley Ivy

Mr. George Stanley “Stan” Ivy, 87, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Starkville Manor Nursing Home in Starkville, MS. Stan was born on May 18, 1934, in Louisville, MS. He was a 1952 graduate of Louisville High School, and grew up in Louisville, where his father, George, owned and operated a jewelry store on Main Street for many years. He was a postal service employee at one time and later worked as a supervisor for Cal-Maine Foods. He was a Navy veteran and a member of Grace Bible Church in Ridgeland, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lettie Emma and George Ruel Ivy. He is survived by his son, Russ Ivy, a number of grandchildren, a great grandchild, and his beloved dog, Marley. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
