Mrs. Mary Helen Hunt, 89, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at home in Louisville surrounded by her family, loved ones and her faithful poodle, Molly. Graveside services and interment will be held at Antioch Cemetery in Winston County, at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 21st, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hunt was born on July 2, 1931, in Jackson, Tenn, to Leland and Eva (Johnson) Barnhardt. She was a lifelong resident of Louisville. After working many years at Robbins Bible and Book Store, Mary Helen dedicated herself to caring for her family and helping to raise her grandchildren. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She volunteered with the hospital auxiliary and helped with the gift shop for many years. She also enjoyed growing flowers at her home appreciating the beauty of nature. She is survived by a son, Richard (Brenda) Hunt of Louisville: a daughter-in-law Ethel Hunt; 4 Grand Daughters, Mary Catherine Haynes, Julie Elizabeth Hunt, Candice Miller and Tammy Hunt; 5 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Sarah Talamantez of Holland, Ohio, Betty Robbins of Holland, Ohio, Anne Haskins of Sebastian, Florida, and 1 brother, Robert Taylor of Oregon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Everett Hunt; Son, James Hunt; and her sisters, Jeanette Bronson and Carolyn Jeakle.
