Mary June Hancock Roberts

Mrs. Mary June Hancock Roberts, 89, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Beehive Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 7th, 2018, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Jonathan Peeples officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the service time at the funeral home.   Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.   Mary June was born August 30, 1928 in Louisville, MS. She was a graduate of Louisville High School and East Central Junior College. She worked as a secretary for the Agricultural Department at Mississippi State University. She and her husband Frank lived in Atlanta for many years, where she worked for Coastal State Life Insurance Company. After retirement they moved to Brandon, MS, and later back to Louisville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Frank Roberts, Jr.; her parents, Myrtis Fulton Hancock and Spinks Hancock; and one daughter, Lynn Turner.   She is survived by two daughters, Martha Parker of Birmingham, AL, and Diana Northcutt of Louisville; one brother, Joe Hancock of Louisville; 4 grandchildren, David Turner, Sam Turner, Rob Parker, and Ryan Parker; and 3 great grandchildren, Ryan Elizabeth Parker, Allison June Parker, and Sam Parker.   Pallbearers will be Bert Northcutt, Steve Roberts, Rob Parker, Ryan Parker, Steve Parker, and David Turner.   Memorials may be made to Poplar Flat Baptist Church, the Winston County Library, or French Camp Academy.   To sign the guest register, go to www.porterfuneralhome.net.
