Michael Wayne Sharp

Mr. Michael Wayne Sharp, 62, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday January 8th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Jon White officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bevill Hill Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mike was born December 23, 1963, in Louisville to Cecil and Vondell Sharp. He attended Louisville High School, and worked as a machinist for Taylor Machine Works. Mike loved riding motorcycles and going to the Sturgis Bike Rally.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Randy Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Jill Slayton Sharp of Louisville; sons, Justin (Kim) Sharp of Louisville, Steven Moore of Meridian, and Darrell Moore, of Louisville; a daughter, Stephanie Moore of Louisville; three brothers, Jimmy (Angie) Marlowe of Louisville, Steve (Denni Kem) Marlowe of Yulee, Fl, and Tommy Marlowe of Sturgis; and six grandchildren, Paul Michael Sharp, Collins Sharp, Aria Moore, Mallory Moore, Bailey Moore, Trenton Moore, and Ava Wilkinson.

Pallbearers will be Mark Woodruff, Chris Parker, Jimbo Johnson, Billy Joe Carter, Mike Patrick, and Adam Madetzke.
