Myrtle Virginia Peterson Foster

June 17, 1932 — November 19, 2021

Myrtle Virginia Peterson Foster (June 17, 1932 – November 19, 2021) Faithful, loving Mama to Timmy, Debbie and Tommy was welcomed home to Heaven by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday Morning, November 19, 2021 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. Well done, Mama. We, your family honor you for your sacrificial love to us, and especially for being Christ’s hands in lovingly caring for Timmy for 55 years. You always pointed us to Christ through your faith in Him which allowed you to overcome the trials of this life. You were able to do all things through Christ Jesus who empowered you .to do the impossible. You never complained, nor gave up when times were the toughest. You persevered through adversity. Your smile and laughter were infectious to us, and your hugs and kisses were always genuine. We miss them so much right now. Christ loved us through you. You encouraged us to enjoy the simple things of life. Such as, traveling down an unfamiliar country road where it became a joyous adventure for all. Just knowing the possibility of visiting a loved one gave us something to look toward to. Not many people knew that you were the richest woman around, for your family knew your true worth…priceless! The daily strength given to you by our Heavenly Father was immeasurable. You demonstrated to us a wonderful work ethic by reminding us to always do our best in what God called us do with our lives. We never questioned your love for us. When there was failure, you always forgave and restored us to fellowship with you. You never turned away from us, but always pursued us. We honor you, and thank God for loving us through you. You have left us a rich heritage in Christ Jesus. “We love you too-too”. Loved ones, who left this earth before you, welcome you home today. Especially, Timmy who is standing tall and whole with his arms outstretched waiting to hold you again. While you carried him all the days of his earthly life, he now carries you to the presence of our loving Heavenly Father. Myrtle was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Blake Foster; her father, Buster Brian Peterson; her mother, Myrtle Hamill Peterson; and her sisters, Peggy Rose Watson, Annie Juanita Burrage, Mary George Rives, and Mabel Lynn Peterson. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Foster Gough (Robin) of Toomsuba, MS; her son, Tommy Foster, Jr. (Susan) of Clayton, NC; her granddaughter, Alyssa Gayle Foster of Raleigh, NC; her grandson Adam Blake Gough (Taylor) of Nashville, TN; her grandson, Robert Timothy Foster (Melissa) of Birmingham, AL; her great granddaughter Blakely Kathryn Gough of Nashville, TN; her sister Celia Frank Mills of Brandon, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
